How to make home made crackers from Flax seed

 

Ingredients

160 grams of flax seed (linseed) 

80 grams of mixed seeds – I used pumpkin and sun flower seeds

1 tsp of smokey paprika

Method

  1. Place flax seeds in a bowl and soak in water overnight.
  2. In a separate bowl soak mixed seeds as well.  
  3. The following morning drain the flax seeds, they will be super moist and have a gluey like texture. Ensure you drain as much of the moisture as you can.
  4. Drain the mixed seeds as well.
  5. Pulse both seeds until you have a rough consistency, you don’t want a paste, the paste should still be chunky.
  6. Add 1 tsp of smoked paprika.
  7. Line two baking trays with baking paper and spread a very thin layer of the mixture with a spatula.
  8. Bake in oven for up to 6 hours on 60°C

Enjoy alone or team it up with your favourite dip! I love mine with home made hummus.
